Bradford county was built on Agriculture. In the past decade the numbers of farms have steadily been decreasing. However, there is still strong desire to farm in Bradford County with a few new ones popping up now and then. To encourage farmers new and experienced, it is important to showcase the resources we have locally. For the first time, Bradford County Conservation District is hosting a Farmer Resource Expo! The event will be held on January 23, 2026 from 9am-1pm at Alparon Park, Exhibit Hall 2. We will also hear farmer testimonials in our “Ask a Farmer” panel from 12-1pm.

This is a FREE event, open to the public. Designed with farmers of all stages in mind whether you are a beginning farmer, experienced farmer, or transitioning from one type of operation to the next, there’s something for you. We have approximately 40 vendors ranging from agricultural equipment to financial lenders, and from seed sales to farm safety and many in between. This will be a great opportunity to connect with local farmers and businesses who are keeping Bradford County’s farming roots alive.

The “Ask a Farmer” panel is an opportunity for farmers and agricultural enthusiasts to hear trials, tribulations, successes, and stories from farmers who are in the beginning stages of their operations to farmers who have decades of experience. Topics will include dairy, beef, swine, crops, grazing and much more. We encourage you to join us for a casual Q&A from 12-1pm.

We are excited to have Blue Bird food truck on site where they will have several delicious sandwich choices available for purchase. All of the meat that they serve comes exclusively from their Bradford County farm, Bluebird Ridge Farm.

We hope you’ll consider joining us this year and that it will be a valuable event worth bringing back for years to come!
