Native, medium to large Deciduous conifer. It looks and acts like a pine tree during the growing season then the blueish green needles on the tree turn yellow and orange in autumn and drop off for winter. Makes a good choice for low lying areas such as wetlands and bogs. This tree will grow well in other areas if there is adequate moisture. The wood is highly resistant to bending, compression, and rot.
