Come Celebrate Lake Appreciation Month in Bradford County!

For Lake Appreciation Month, the Bradford County Conservation District is hosting a fishing derby at Sunfish Pond to promote families enjoying our waterbodies within the county and provide knowledge and education of our natural resources. The goal of the event is to foster a need for environmental stewardship by connecting people with the fun nature can provide when we conserve and protect our resources.

This family friendly event will also have educational and kid activities. Food will be available for purchase.

PA Fish and Boat Commission will be providing their "SMART" Angler program that instructs youth between the ages of 8 and 16 on the types of fish found in Pennsylvania, fish habitats, safety, equipment, outdoor manners, and protecting our water resources. Fishing poles will be available on loan through Fish and Boat for anglers who do not have one.
